Hmmm.........

I do think a "Daft Question" is something like.... "Do you want to go for a pint?"
When the correct "Sensible Question" would be more like...... "Where shall we go for a pint?"

At school,last millennia I had to study Latin! Yes, you are in the presence of a polymath, get over it. There were two types of question which expected a specific answer
"YOu do want to go for a pint, don’t you?"
"You don’t want to go for a pint, do you?"

I have no idea why I remembered this and have never needed it in 52 years since O levels
