Sad....Deep Purple in Rock was the first album I ever bought in 1970 [second was Paranoid by Sabbath]

First single [i think] that I bought was Black Knight [although it may have been Ice in the Sun by Quo]

Still got all the Vinyls in the loft somewhere. Both bands were a great influence on me and probably explains how I became the 'rounded and tolerant individual' that I am today!........... :coat

I keep a copy of the Grove Dictionary of Music.

In the backleaves I record the names of those

who have left us. The list is not limited to

classical music personalities; it includes the

ones who shook the world of music as they saw it,

and then re-wrote the manuscript in a new and

bold hand.

In the loft!!!!!!! What you doin'???

I have loads of early Purple on vinyl and the turntable takes pride of place.

Saw the Purple in concert in November, AWESOME. Don Airey was superb on keys. Nevertheless, Jons passing makes for a sad day.
