Max Zs for 2A and 4A C type BSEN60898 MCBs

On a recent L.E.D lighting install we have fitted 2 and 4 amp type C 60898 MCBs due to the small loading on each of the circuits. Been looking in the big green book and cant find any max Zs values for 2 or 4 amp the lowest is 6 amp.

Tried the manufactuers website but had no luck either they are made by Merlin Gerin.

 
The data is available on the Schneider website for the Zs on all of their breakers.

However, why type C?

Was the inrush that high?

Mind, with a B6 @ 6.13, that gives a C6 @ around 3.06, from memory a "C3" would be around 12 ohms, mind I would have to check, so a C2 & C4 would be either side of the 12 ohm mark if you have not got this on a TN install then you have issues!!! ;)

Why not just use 6A B Type, what cabling have you used to your drivers then ?

 
I agree, 6a all the way street lighter.... What if they're changed in the future by someone hell bent against Eco / green stuff!!!

errm, well, no, a C3 would be about the same as a B6 would it not?

Possibly, I may have thought about this wrong in my head, dangers of not having the full info to hand and not undertaking the calcs and just guessing.

I hate maths and always have.

There may also be other reasons for this too, which shall remain nameless. ;)

 
Original install had 6 and 10 amp breakers fitted our supervisor wanted them lower rated for "close protection" all the circuits are protected by a 30 mA RCD aswell the wiring system is 2L1.5 pyro to all the driver boxes.

Anybody have a regs number i can quote for the calculation method ?

 
I dont think there is a reg, I think it is purely a formula/formulae (?)

for C /2

D type /2 again

Just fit a 6A Streety and move on with your life . Switch off the van engine and listen to the birdsong , what was that about 2A MCBs ...I don't remember now ... look at that blue sky !!!
