Firstly as a general reply to Ash, the EIC is not really a form any client is liable to understand, the purpose of any EIC or MWC and even a PIR certificate is to pass on information to a trained person. The NICEIC have included in their own forms various additions that are not included in the model forms. The number of points column I find, is very usefull, it relates to the original, so if you find that your at the installation 5 years after, and there are 3 more points serviced from the same circuit, a fair assumption would be that additions have been made.

I can only say that as a body the NICEIC are very proud of their record in the electrical industry, I personnaly do not like the DI side, but that is here to stay whatever my own feelings, and to a large extent, the NICEIC are governed by the same rules as other providers. They can only pass those who, on the day, provide the goods.
