Napit Just 8

Does anybody know about the Napit just 8 scheme?

I have seen it mention in other posts but can't find it on the Napit web site.

As the end of my 3 years at college approaches (last exam on 25th of Feb) and the financial situation worsens I am not brave enough to plunge into the world of the self employed. Instead I would like to dip my toe in and remain clinging to the side of the pool with the safety of the employed mans regular money handrail.

This sounds like an ideal scheme to get a few notifyable jobs under my belt

while I get organised for the 2391.

PS. I may end up floundering in the deep end anyway as we are laying off 50 blokes at the factory where I work. 20 so far have taken early retirment 15 temporary contract workers have been made redundant while the rest of us sit and wait to be called to the office.

I think they binned the just 8 scheme last year.

My neighbour was on it a few years ago but didn't renew it after doing his extension, since then he reapplied to do his sisters newbuild but was told it was no longer on offer & his best option was to just notify through building control.

I hear that NAPIT are a good crowd, you'll also get freebies on joining.

but if they get rid of the freebies, you'd pay less.

(or maybe not.... they'll just keep the extra)
