Hi everyone,

I live in South London, Brixton Area,  ground floor of a studio-flat. I have a 'anonimous' electrical storage heater which I want to change because old and inefficient. I want buy something good, with a timer, and possibly a fan that can be activated to boost the heating process, when required. I already have a Economy 7 contract and meter installed.

Flat size is approximately 8m x 4m, on the ground floor, 3 double-glazing regualr windows, only 1 wall in contact with the exterior.

Im looking to buy the heater, have this installed and the old one disposed. Any suggestion and/or someone who can do this job to?

Thanks, please feel free to contacting me.

Hmm.  Electric heaters are always 100% efficient at point of use: a new one will put the same amount of heat in the room regardless.

Is there something wrong with the existing model's input and output switches?   Note that a fan will very quickly cool the storage element,

making the storage function somewhat redundant.
