New Job!

Hi everyone,

I start a new job for the council a week today doing streetlighting.

I have been self employed contracting on commercial jobs (schools, hospitals, student accommodation etc..)since starting in the game so going cards in on a different side of things will be interesting.

I will need to brush up on my fault finding and testing so be prepared for the odd question!

On a different note, it's a bit concerning that the last two threads I have just read have been closed due to animosity. I hope we are not heading in the direction of other certain electrical forums.

done a bit of street lighting a few years ago - jubilee clips on cutouts are much easier than normal SWA glands

whilst on street lighting all those years ago, we found a chandalier in one of the scrap bins at the yard. bit scratched and no use, still looked good

anyway, we put it in the van. few days later, whilst changing a light in a posh area, we fitted the chandalier and took a few pics. unfortunately, i cant find them anywhere
