Like Andy , I never watched the old version , blokey blokes talking blokey doing blokey stuff with cars but knowing sod all about them whatsoever .
And I get accused of being Captain Slow ...who the hell is that ? I'll have you know I have a speeding endorsement from the South Wales Police in 1980 . They pursued me down the Heads of The Valleys Road in my Datona Yellow 2ltr Ford Cortina . " House on fire is it Cariad?"
TBH I find that other car programme more interesting ...the one with the guy who has a workshop in my area, has an annoying sidekick presenter.... they resurrect mainly rusty old classic cars ....tend not to punch people .

just watched the first 10 or 15mins of it,
complete tosh,
trying waaayy too hard to be like the old one,

not seen the new one, didn't really watch the old one. But I did see the episode of the tranny round the ring, she was so cool in that. Revs to max all the way round. Respect.
Started to watch it but lost interest rather quickly even my lad said "lettuced turn it over", cant be more than one series with the dross I watched for 10 mins?..............cant stand the squeaky Evans voice anyway so wasn't overly bothered about it, same goes for his radio shows if I'm honest..

Apart from the 'do' he doesn't really change much over the years, I watch old top gear on YouTube when I can't sleep, I also watch big clive, he helps me sleep and provides me wit a grater understanding of aLL things electtical.

I heard that JB was making a better presenter? Still I thought it better than the first.
I never really got Top Gear TBH ....yes I know I'm a dinosaur , but , really! Lets get in this car and drive it about a bit . What should we do next ? How about getting another car and driving that about a bit while we take the pee out of the nerdy one. ? Then next week , compare a Ferrari Spider to a Morris Marina .
A mate & his grandson watch them back to back somehow , for hours ....and then Ice Station Truck Drivers , appear to be Canadian Truckers who drive on icy roads and get stuck all the time. :C

I watched episode 2 and found the bit where jenson button was driving the mclaren with Chris Evans as the passenger really funny.

Sure Chris Evans is no Clarkson but Clarkson could be a right idiot and the last series of top gear was quite dull too
