No, Vivaro.

Most people  i know who have  twin side doors rack across the offside one and have extra bits where the door opens. The cut off 100mm downpipes are great for long drills, earth rods etc but cut the bottom at an angle or mount off the floor incase you drop anything in.

Sounds like a plan,, I thought it was a bit bigger!

Nice if you're in Kent,,, however I'm in North Wales

Also you can see where i store conduit and trunking that goes through the bulkhead and under the seat. I cut down an old boiler flue 'chip frier' grill and screwed it to the floor to stop the stuff sliding forward when i brake.
I'll have to see if there's enough length in the van to allow something like that,, I doubt it though

Noz, is that an LWB?

I deffo dont have that in the rear of my van, 6' is what I have, 1800 or whatever it works out as.......

BTW, Dave is spot on with his inverted ladder rack, that is what I have, some shelving to the side, 6' shelf on top for flourescents etc, and a rack for my steps hanging down above that,

but even they protrude into the top of the passenger cab area.!

Ahhh,

I'll take it that you're right as I don't have the van at home yet, I've taken the dimensions off the internet... and you know what a dodgy place that can be

here

BTW, dont make your shelves 2', it was just some I had kicking around and couldnt be bothered trimming down, 16" is plenty,

and the 1" ply isnt usually there, I only had it for a job, as you can see its 7' long and wont fit in the load bay, the other bit is 8' and 'just' fits using the whole parcel shelf.

I had to empty it so you could see the racking,

BTW, if I was doing it again I dont think Id bother with the shelves, I cant get my gear in,

this is it before the shelves, just a ladder rack and some poxy plastic drawers, but, they worked just fine.

the more Im thinking about it, the more Im inclined to rip them back out this weekend TBH.

might just put something token in that is a foot wide of so just for some screw boxes etc,

I need the floor space more than anything.

Common object in pictures 1 & 3????

I think I'm going to go with 12 or 14"  shelving down the off side and then maybe behind the seats.

I like the idea of the 6' shelf on top and the ladder storage :)

As a suggestion I find the crates that the supermarkets use for home delivery very useful, they are sturdy and stackable, oh and free if you can catch the delivery driver in a generous mood.

+1

I have 5 blue crates from a well known supermarket... that were apparently being replaced as new crates were been introduced...

Must be 10+ years that I have had them now...

Great for coils of cable in one...

Dust sheets in another...

Extension lead & portable lighting etc., in another..

Various lose accessories etc. for a particular job all ready in one place..

possibilities endless really...

etc..

etc..

Hmmmmmm..................

Yes you are right...

I don't think H&S would approve of the storage methods for the Beer Cans!!!

To great a risk of spillage when driving IMHO!!!

:innocent

I like the way the can is moved around the van, clearly looking for the most stable resting point for transit purposes? Pic4 the door is only closed so the rest if us don't get an idea where we should store ours! Nothing to do with he graffiti on the door?
