No Internet Access .............again!

Gentlemen ...before going downstairs to make tea ,  I tried my standby , hi -tech ....Deke the Computer Expert ...diagnostic ...cure all method ...and yanked the plug out the back of the PC ........after tea and re-instatement   the main PC is now  connected to the web .  

Just close down the craptop and make sure the "proper one is working .

Again my thanks to you guys for your advice and assistance,  I will hopefuly , be back shortly .

unless your using telepathy or something else, i would suggest you do have internet access...

have you tried the age old trick to fix most computer problem of switching it off then back on?

Andy    I read that as switching off the Hub  , which I had done a couple of times . 

I'd re-started the PC a few times   but didn't actually kill the power .

I would like to step down as the Forum computer expert and elect Andy tm  as the new Generalissimo of PC problems .

Deke - I wouldnt reset the homehub until you confirm some diagnostics first and see if there are other issues

Once you have reset it - If you are as clever as Hercules then you may be stuffed

I wont tell you my views on BT either :slap

Don't think I'm as clever as Hercules  ...  he can count up to ten with his hoof  .... he doesn't go any higher 'cos thats as high as Stepps can count,  :innocent
