Right see if you can see what the issues were with the periodic test inspection undertaken this year by another electrician.

The photos are from the subsequent visit by me to undertake an EICR for the purchasers of the property, as they were concerned about the report handed over by the vendors solicitor...............the purchasers know a qualified sparks who took a look at the emailed report :innocent

The other electricians report

These are a couple of pictures I took.

The supply

The new cu fitted a month ago ............... cash job by the same fella, so no certs apart from the periodic paperwork.

Inside the cu

on one of the 32amp ring final mcb's you might just make out an additiona 1.5mm conductor.

Something missing here but not on the report issued

The fella should be ashamed for taking £200 off the woman.................she has been made aware of her error in getting a cheap cack job.

BG as suppllied by B&Q - says all you need to know

what are the 2 RCBOs doing? ( if anything). beyond that I shall say no more and let the trainees comment

My local guy used to supply those,,, given up on them now as they are a bit DIY

I've just realised that it looks like they are supplying nothing

Correct Noz

If i remember and have time i will post my test results tomorrow.

One of my local wholesalers does a 2 RCD 10 way BG board with breakers for £41+vat.

OBS for the cert.

1.  old periodic inspection cert

2   20+ years?  more like 40+ years

3.  Should also have an installation certificate if he has just replaced the CU

4.  amended date in the wrong place

5.  Not  TNCS

6.  DNO have not supplied the earth

7.  Ze 0.3  and PFC of 1.38KA  do not calculate  and P/N  PFC is likely much higher than that

8.  Supply fuse type not stated

9.  He cannot spell copper

10.  60439-3.  What the hell is that?

11.  Main switch is not an RCD but he has stated it has an operating current of 30mA

12.  fuse rating  230v ?

13.  He has not ticked a box to say if he has made any observations or not.

14.  General condition good?  i dont think so

15.  Robin cert for page 1 and 2 with 2001 regs, kewtech with 2008 regs for page 3

16.  Curious.  Multifunction tester used + different ZeZs tester and RCD tester

17.  page 3 is signed on the 12/09/14  while page 1 and 2 are signed on 13/09/14

18.  Lighting is on a B6A MCB not a 16A

19.  Did not see any cpc on the lighting circuit but he put down 1mm

20.  Many columns are not filled in

21.  Lights R1R2 = 0.3,  How

22.  Zs and R1R2 inputs are all too high and do not calculate anywhere near(usually R1R2 is lower than Zs)

23.  with those R1R2s those circuits must be incredibly long

24.  What no cooker circuit?

Nicky Tesla,

Good obs, but you should know what BS EN 60439-3 is, it is (was) the product standard for consumer units for use by the "unskilled". ;)

There is no such thing as an RCD to this standard though, which the form implies.

I've not looked in detail, as the thread is for learners, hence why I only critiqued the earlier post.
