Hi everyone,

What is the general consensus on electric heating? I am considering getting some electric radiators from electric heating company  and using them to heat my new conservatory.

I've never used them before but I have had a couple of people over the last few months mention they have bought some and quite like them.

Surely they must be expensive, more so in winter obviously.

All opinions welcome, I can still be talked out of it!

Cheers

Rointe by any chance?? Overpriced an dubious claims in my opinion. Plenty of simple and cheap convection heaters and oil filled rads on market for £40 ish. Have a look at TLC or one of the forum sponsors. As for running costs, well leccy is cheap, but cost of simple installation is quite good, Dimplex argue that an electric central heating system is cheaper to run than a gas boiler due to lack of maintaince. Could always use a couple of solar panels directly linked to heater :^O
