I have to cover the corner of a building with security lighting, the problem is that there recessed blind spot so a 270 PIR won't do.

would it be possible to have two 180 PIRs at either end of the walkway

or alternatively a PIR at one end and a time switch at the other?

Either\or. Whatever you reckon would work best. Having not seen the site it's a little difficult to say for sure, but I'm not sure what the time clock would be doing there? I'd say 2 PIR's.

Thank you stewart - you are great source of experience.

I was thinking of a PIR on the car park side and a time switch at the back door

is there an issue connecting the two switch wires together at the light?

Depends on the PIR, some of the cheap ones don't like it, but I've fitted of loads of half decent ones with switch wires commoned with no ill effects, and I've seen it done in other places as well plenty of times.

can you recommend a good make or two?

Steinel, Smiths, other decent stuff of a similar standing. Some of the unheard of stuff is better than these, some of it not. Depends what your wholesaler stocks. I tend to end up with Steinel, makes it easier for replacement as the bases are all the same as well.
