plug in cookers

im putting in a new kitchen ringmain in a house. the oven is on a plug top. can this be wired in off the ringmain via a 20a double pole switch above the counter with a socket outlet below or do i still have to put in a seperate supply for the oven? usually i would just do this anyway but hes trying to save as mutch money as pos.

can be plugged in, but its good practice to install fixed loads over 2KW on their own circuit.

i always install a new circuit, incase of an upgrade at some point in the future.

i agree with other comments. If your rewiring and the moneys right then put in a new dedicated oven circuit with a single socket.

If the money is not there , just plug it into the ring.

have put in a new 6mm circuit to future proof.
