Hi,

I'm looking for alternatives to the Crabtree  Polestar breakers and rcbo's, that is the wider older types. I've got a job to do in a small industrial unit, which requires an additional circuit. I'm told by Electrium that these are now obsolete and they are not making them anymore. Tried sourcing in several places including ebay, but prices vary greatly.

My work has been mainly domestic, and this job may get me into the commercial side, so looking for options.

Can you guys give me some advice.

Thanks

Get some Polestar and get the customer to pay, or work to BS6423, Code of practice for maintenance of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear.

This covers the modifications and checks needed to ensure that you can safely and adequately modify the distribution board to take replacement breakers, which were not originally destined to fit the DB.
