Pylontech are an entry level battery using pouch cells as opposed to prismatic or cylindrical cells. Pouch cells are the most primitive of lithium cell and allow for poor air circulation whihc could cause overheating and unwanted expension of the cells.

first set of Pylontechs I fitted was about 5/6 years ago, and it's been working fine ever since.
