This is the state I found the electrics, the house was owned by a retired couple who had a friend who knows about electrics!

This is a repair from the fuse board

nothing wrong with that-seems perfectly acceptable use of electrics-if you live in somewhere like egypt lol.

Im suprised we didnt see a dozen extension blocks connected in daisy chain to give enough electrics for the whole house.

Nice bit of scortching on the ccu.

Sparky999 you wholetime or a bunny?

"The lights come on what's the problem"

Oh how many times have I heard that!!!

It was a job I did on behalf of the electrical safety councils grants scheme.

The owner was broken into last year and had 1.5mm twin and earth running to copper grills inside the windows, with 12 volts running through them via a transformer.

I quickly removed the supply and told him it was not allowed.

Very nice couple but he really did worry me with his idea of a intruder alarm!!

If anyone did break in they would get what they deserve. if everyone was allowed to do stuff like this to protect their property, crime would probably go right down through not knowing which properties are death traps and which aren't
