Hi all,

I have some spotlights in a room that I no longer need and want to store the cable in the attic safely in case we do use it in the future. I have been reading and watching videos about the use of wago connectors to keep the wiring safe. I also saw that these wago connectors can go in a wago box which itself can then be fixed to an attic joist.

If this is true, how would the wiring in each wago connector look. Would I use one wago for each of the three cables, Live, Neutral and Earth? And then stick those three wagos in a wago junction box?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Jimi

Just remeber ONE Wago connector is for ONE core 'designation' ( sorry cannot think of a better description)

so....a 5 way Wago would be for up to 5 earths OR 5 neutrals etc. You CANNOT MIX n MATCH within the same connector. Do NOT use the double " Wago"  line/neutral/earth items from toolstation. They are cheap copies BUT look like the real thing. Ok for a cheap pot end/cap off as a temporary measure, but I wouldn't trust them to be left in circuit 🔥 💥

Thanks Kerching. Yes understood. I was going to use one wago per one core designation. Thanks for helping. Would it be best to stick those wagos in a wago junction box, then attach to a joist?

Yes....all joints have to be in an  enclosure

or use the Ashley version in the previous post
