The 32A for the cooker and the separate up/down rings are wise recommendations and i'll be looking into the lights in more detail.
That's exactly the reason I posted in such detail. Yes, I do have no formal qualifications at the moment (ongoing as we speak) so some of my terminology may be a little off the mark but I wouldn't be tackling something I was clearly not confident in completing safely. The very reason I finally decided to get qualified is because i've seen crap work many times even by qualified electricians and it seriously concerns me. I'm quite clear about the need for detailed calculations and testing. These will all be done. It's quite simple - if I can't do it, I won't do it. I'll just ask you lot instead.
I may not have the qualifications yet but I care as much about safety as anyone who has.
As for shower and immersion. The house has a combi boiler and there'll be spare capacity on the CU should anyone want to fit a shower in the future.
