I can understand that but for general CU changes i would rather stick RCBO's in complies with regs and hopefully no come backs.

well i guess if he is replacing the db then you would be right to say it should be of dual rcd to comply or by means of all circuits protected by rcbo,s.

This is in student zone basically he is asking can he put a RCD main switch consumer unit in a comply with 17th edition.
