Yes this preditcitive text is getting boring, I've never spent so much time correcting my spelling as I do with this and they call it advancement?Or even conforming.....
Indeed they did.The H&S will be doing spot checks, only last year before Christmas they had a push so its just a matter of time.
That's hardly a "spot check"Indeed they did.
A small site (19 new builds) behind my parents place, just before Christmas had a delivery of the concrete risers unfortunately no crane on site to lift them into place down a hole, so a few straps on the bucket of the JCB backhoe, with the bucket at full reach they tried to drop the risers into place...................oh no the JCB starts to tip.
The fix to stop the JCB tipping was to use a bog standard fork truck to apply down force on the front JCB bucket.
Nobody would have been any the wiser if the lads on site hadn't recorded & you tubed the footage, HSE regularly trawl you tube for just such footage.
The lad that posted the footage was binned & site was shut down for a week & now have regular snap HSE inspections.
If some sole trader or partnership is doing several small jobs per week, unless an incident happens where the H&S are called in, How on earth would H&S know where you have chosen to work so they can do a random inspection. And if it is a private domestic dwelling, would they legally be allowed to enrter the building if no one has been injured.?If you’re the sole contractor on the job, you’ll now by law need to create a construction phase plan, no matter how big or small the job is. You don’t need to go overboard, but you do need to spend some time considering the risks on site.
So this is supposedly now encompassing domestic electrical work?
