few things needing answered,

first, couldnt you get a "friend" to go round and persuade them to leave?

what would the possibility of some other "squatters" moving in and squatting in the house?

Im not sure of the legal implications of advertising your willingness to cripple intruders, bit like saying your dog is dangerous, your already admitting guilt if the dog bites someone.

that being said, I would..........

I would either pay the local gipsys to go round or go round with my 12 gage And pepper there arses ! I wouldn't even waste my time talking with the police !

i think the judges have a difficult time of it......

the martin case was unfortunate but.....

1 he had told villagers he was going to kill the next intruder...

2 he was sat up waiting for the scumbags

3 the one killed was shot in the back half in the window(trying to escape)

now i know what you will all say but we do live in a civilised society and if we go backwards we end up with a wild west style jungle:coat

if someone comes in your house tonight and you fear for yourself or loved ones, pick something up and hurt them you WILL NOT and CANNOT be prosecuted. However, when you start to have weapons close to hand that is the start of it, the wild west thing, that is what the judge and jury has to weigh up- "did you cross the line of civilised behaviour or not?"

If this is the one I am thinking of then the guy had also been around to someone's house not long before and shot out their windows and had his fac revoked for that to was not legally allowed to posses a shotgun anyway.

hi

not sure of the background but he did 5 years and then came out to a media hero welcome. it made me uneasy....

reminded me of the famous case on the new york subway about ten years ago when 4 scumbags mugged a business man. they asked what was in the briefcase, so he opened it and pulled out a cannon an stated blasting. he killed one and parylised another by shooting him in the back. he went down, even in america. the reason being was that he was "ready" for trouble and the attackers were fleeing when shot

If you have to shoot someone that is running away make sure you catch them first and stage it properly so it looks defensive and make sure its terminal so no one to dispute your side of the story.

Theoretically of course as we could never advocate wrongdoings.

I will publicly state,

if anyone ever enters my house without my permission and I have the opportunity then they will not walk out of my house.

they probably wont ever walk again,

cos if I dont kill them with the first attempt, then i will joint by joint remove their ability to function as a proper member of society,

which they have proved to me not to be be coming into my house anyway,

subhumans should not have human rights.

I'd hate for the UK to get like it is in America, but if someone violates your space and breaks into your home you should be free to do whatever is required to deal with the issue. If that's a gun in the bedside draw or a baseball under the bed - so be it.

The Maglite by my bed would be illegal if it was there as a weapon and not as a torch!

We need some decent punishments so that people think twice about committing crimes. Clearly a gentle slap on the wrist doesn't work. Not saying I have the answer.

That reminds me of one of those police camera type shows I caught part of a while back where they had stopped some dodgy guy in the street and found car keys on him. They clearly wanted to nick him so they decided to get him to take them to his car and then search it where they found a screwdriver (possibly in the boot) and decided it was a tool used for breakins and a weapon and nicked him. CPS didn't prosecute. How was that in the public interest?

as i said chaps, i fully understand you views but....

as an alternative, one of my fellow teacher's daughter lives and works in singapore.....

now there you can walk around with a grand sticking out of your top pocket as there is no crime as such....

spitting- arrested and lashed

chewing gum on street and litter- ditto

crossing a pelican crossing on the red man- DITTO!

flying in, you get a leaflet explaining what will happen if you misbehave and tourists do not enjoy immunity. also they explain the MANDATORY death penalty for dope. and guess what, there is no drugs problem!
