Good Evening everyone.

Im working  for small residetial property maintainace company in Ireland.

I do differenet jobs,  as well as basic electrical staff.

There were a few st heaters problems and i managed with them so far.

Until i got this one and I was wondering if You could help with this.

Problem is im not reicieving off peak signals from main switch room.

Signal going out off fuse board to switch rooom but not coming back to apartment.

My question is what are the components off peak system.

Visually i can see Grasslin time switch and it is working(there are 10 apartments on one clock).

Is there anything else there that can give a trouble? like relay?

There was thechnician from suplier to check and he send sms all good on his side.

But we all the people and we all make mistakes.

Thanks

sounds like a duff contactor somewhere,

is the timeclock for the whole block?

is it only one apartment not getting heat?

if so, then I would deffo be thinking duff contactor.

TBH, it sounds as though maybe its a bit out of the realms of a general maintenance bod, might be time to get a dedicated spark in, probably an hour or so work for him to locate the fault,

+ obviously time for a replacement or rectification.

Thanks for reply Steptoe,

block 40 apartments - 4 clocks. 10 for each

only 1 apartment not working.

Elec Supplier Technician was there - and send sms his side checked -no problem.

To get him second time i must have a good reason and know what components are there and where could be the problem.

May be he just checked clock and said okay its fine.

It is typical installation in Ireland and

whoever had a chance to look at this once probably answer my question.

Thank You Help.

It is in Limerick city, S side of Ireland.

In apartment SHS working if i put 240v  signal manually in contractor - I'm not receiving it from ESB switch room.

And i cant access to check, it is all sealed.

Only Esb technichian can do this.

Thomas - So the contactor is in the apartment then or a place where you have access at least, and if you put 230V onto the coil it pulls in and storage heaters work, but you have no trigger 230V from switch room which you cannot access as its locked. Or are you saying if you put 230V onto the output circuits the heaters work.

normaly closed contractor 3 in 3 0ut. positive and negative. put 230 on posirive - contactor close sircuit shs working.

i have no access to cabinets where the meters. clocks and other staff.
