Anyone come across these ????

went to cut out for an fcu and found that the 'stud wall' was full of compacted straw !!!!!!!

nothing in the regs about it either !!!!!!!!

which then causes another problem for an fan isolater where the customer doesnt want surface trunking,,,,,,,so only option is to put it in the loft near the hatch any thoughts on that ????

 
there are a few area of house around here with straw walls, never worked on them just seen them ripped out.

Id be happy with a isolator there.

 
Got them In my house. If can get above them they have got tube like voids running vertically so you can run cables in them.

 
Someone mentioned in the other thread that they were used in the early 90's. I've come across houses that have them that were built in the early to mid 80's.
