Its basically people in your area looking to give stuff away such as " I have some 2ft X 2ft  slabs free to anyone , just collect ."

" Anybody know if this builder is OK ?"      

" Church jumble sale next Saturday  etc"

"I'm looking for a decorator / plumber / electrician / mechanic / TV repair man  etc 

"  People are being mugged on ***** Road  take care "

You get the picture , could be very useful if you're looking for work & want to build your profile locally .  I could answer quite a lot but I've a load on & turning jobs away.

Deke, I am on My local streetlife. My opinion right now is that its quite new, and is gainging popularity. Its almost like an info board/yellow pages rolled into one.

I use Freecycle to give away unwanted stuff, or take other peoples junk treasures
