I take any waste round my local tip in the car as they usually ask too many questions if you are in a van. I even got rid of some florrie tubes as they have the correct disposal point for them.

 
At least 8 years ago my local council & all the surrounding fitted 6ft height restrictions across the entrances. This outraged people with 4 wheel drives and people carriers but it stuck. They also passed a bylaw that no walk ins allowed. Not all bad though, my council arranges skips & recycling across the whole borough twice a year. They recon its cheaper than clearing up the fly-tipping.

Of course all of you complaining have trade waste carriers licences, don't you ?

 
If it's "iffy", shove it in the wife's / husband's car instead, when they're (the spouse) not watching,of course.Many a defunct CU has landed in the electrical recycling bin from the back of Madams motor. ; \
Oooh. Think of all that valuable copper you're throwing away! I get the kids dismantling old fuseboards. The copper and brass I keep to weigh in and the plastic goes in the plastic bin at the tip.

My tip has collection points for florries and batteries and leccy items too.

whenever i go with a trailer full of stuff, its already sorted between household, wood/hardcore etc. and then gets thrown into appropriate skip. and if you just threw everything into household, you would probably get chased....

but every so often, you get told to just throw everything in household

 
I chuck most of my rubbish in my old mans skip, best to do it when he's not around though. He's always got a skip outside the house.
