Well I used to like the Oroboris Rebreather, but I went off it for some reason. Didn't go as far as purchasing one though

Just.....said it".........................
The Oroboris was good, however I always found it to be lower than what it stated that it could do. For instance it claimed that it could give 98% saturation but in tests it only gave 45%.

The bloke that invented it is a mate of a mate.

He is the guy who was on the 4 Monty Hall diving documentaries recently. kev Gurr, the bloke with the Baseball Cap on the Comms set.

he actually started the IANTD in this country along with the late Rob Palmer ( another of his mates) and Richard Bull ( the Bass player with the Kersal Flyers)...... He's the bearded one you usually see acting as a Dive Master on Diving Documentaries

Just saying

Sweedy.....

Believe it or not there is a British ( old) unit of measurement for Herrings! It is called a "ten hundred", so you would buy. " ten hundred" herrings!

How many Herrings do you think you got for ten hundred?

Answer.............1036!

Now THAT is a stupid unit of measurement

Just saying
There is a measurement for HERRINGS?! :slap This weird measuring stuff has finally come up with something useful! So I reckon I have probably eaten ten hundres herrings in my days. :D

Forumite of the Year !!

Just ....mentioning.

Hey Miss Denmark!  Just remembered another gem from the past ................a dozen was 12  but  a Baker's dozen was 13  .  somesort of massive fine if you sold bread under weight so to make sure they always added an extra loaf.
I did know that one, but only thanks to watching Great British Bake-Off :D
