3 ccts in a new garage/wood pellet burner room

would you guys bother with rcbos for the 3 ccts or just run with the rcd 100m/s, this being the main switch ????

30mA protection for sockets <32A for use by normal persons,,,,,,,,,,,,

could you justify changing the 100mA front end for a 30mA ?

maybe require an em light.?  might be a lot cheaper though......

what would be the risk of losing garage power though?

would the loss of light be a danger?

if its a new CU maybe sbs Dave is the answer, RCBOs for a tenner and a main switch,

OK,

if Im getting this right,

you have a 100mA TD in the house feeding the garage,

if so, then yes, you need to segregate your garage circuits and add discimination.

5 way board 3 rcbos £60

didn't think of an emergency light........... may well add that

I'd just put a 30mA main switch in garage board , nothing important in there .

Domestic I presume , so sod the emergency light unless they asked for it .

TT needs DP isolation I believe so most Arseybeeos don't comply.    Or did I dream that one up ???

I never fit Aseybeos but only 'cos my testers knock them out .

I will at some stage go all RCBO in my own garage on the grounds of convenience AND safety. Whist at the moment its basically a storage shed for the 2 shells and amassed Capri parts when I start the body work in earnest I'll be doing a lot of it in the evenings. I can just see the night when I do something silly with the grinder/welder and am left quite literally in the dark with HOT metal close by, tools to trip over and maybe by then an open pit too!

none

unless you count the boiler catching fire and spreading to the wood chips !!!!
