Teesside is running as normal

Filled up this morning no queue tanker waiting to top tanks up

I've heard supermarkets have been very busy tho, usually the cheapest

Media madness once again

personally id be supporting the fuel tanker strike 150% the amount this country is getting ripped off, at the moment we need to show we are a democracy and i reckon we should show whos got more power than the whole of the government put together its a bout time we put this government on the fence and showed them whos boss.

My driving instructor was saying on Tuesday that even the OAP's were panic buying, the government has been very sly about all of this. When we had the first fuel strike, we shouldnt have stopped it in My opinion, we should take a leaf out of the French book, we are all a little too soft in this country.

I filled up on Monday at the very first sniff of a problem and there were no problems and no queues

A fuel "shortage" caused by everyone topping up, and keeping topped up, plus filling all their can's etc will only be a short term blip. Once everyone's can is full. demand will return to normal.

What's more likely to be a problem, is for the foreseeable future, I will be filling up whenever I get to half a tank. I normally wait until I'm almost running on vapour before filling.

So I will be visiting the petrol station twice as often as I used to. So if everyone does that, it must lead to longer queues although it shouldn't lead to a shortage as I won't be using any more fuel, just topping up with smaller amounts more often.

The Government never learn do they. Going on the news and saying "there's no need to panic" is about the best thing you can possibly do to get everyone panicking. They might as well have said "fill up today there might not be any tomorrow"

If they really want no panic, then just SHUT UP about it.

I think that just shows how little trust we have in our politicians. We just don't trust what they say.

I've been to 2 petrol stations this morning and they were queuing onto the road and had both run out of diesel. Looks like I'll be getting the push bike out and carrying a big rucksack full of tools. I'm In Sheffield

Just filled my tank up had quarter of a tank in but filled up to be sure I had some while I could had to que for about 10 mins so weren't too bad

Well tried to fill up in 4 stations now, all out of fuel ffs and I bet nothing will come of it. Sick of people panic buying when they hear the news

In my area people are going mad. I needed to fill up today as I was on a quarter of a tank and can't afford to be of work. I always fill up on quarter of a tank anyway. Local ESSO had run out so luckily there were no queue's blocking that road. I filled up at the local Total now this was manic as they had a delivery last night. People were blocking the road trying to get in absolutely crazy. If people only filled up when they really needed to there would not be a problem, and the thing is it will be another week before they go on strike anyway even if they do go on strike.

Stepps, we won't see the like of the generation that saw this country through the war again .

There is a minority ,who are in todays armed forces but I think the general population is too selfish now . And too diversified.

Coming home tonight and the Shell station has NO fuel by Sevenoaks train station. Sainsburys at Otford is again pretty busy though, I was running on vapour when I filled up last night there and had to queue. The MADNESS has begun! Diving out for a curry in a mo so I'll take a look at the Texaco in West Kingsdown as I go past...........

Gonna tell the missus I can't cut the lawns at the weekend as we'd be best saving the fuel in the garden jerry can just in case!

EDIT: TEXACO IN WEST KINGSDOWN looks like it has "SORRY OUT OF USE" signs on most if not all of the pumps

Local Sainsbury's ...... No Diesel

BP garage .............. No Diesel & Limited Unleaded

Shocked at some pricing..... Reading services this morning when I went past at 06:45 Diesel

My old man had his heating tank drilled & syphoned some time last weekend.....I now have a CCTV job this weekend.

IIRC during the last petrol "crisis" in 2000, some garages profiteered and charged high prices.

When it was all over, people remembered this, and boycotted them, driving them out of business.

Lets hope people do the same this time.
