A customer needs a new under cabinet kitchen striplight to replace one that's failed.

But I can't find one small enough.

It's just a stand alone small corner cabinet.

The existing one measures an overall length of 250mm long and only just fits the available space.

The smallest I have found so far is 275mm long T4 6WATT KITCHEN CABINET LINK LIGHT UNSWITCHED X 1 | eBay (also available in Wickes)

Anyone know where I can get one only 250mm long?

Prodave

This happens quite often , its to do with kitchen fittering companies importing obscure light fittings , 've had this myself.

Just checked Denmans , their smallest is 270 mmmm .

Why not change to a LED or capsule type?

Or can you fit the longer one on the diagonal under the cupboard ? Assuming no one can see it ?

Wrong link there Deke! Supposed to be9 Inch 6w Link Light Fluorescent Fitting

9 inches = 229mm

I have both SF and TLC open
length on TLC states 243mm

and thats just the fitting - once the mains connector is there, it will be well over 250mm

what about LED? you can get flexible tape type that would easily fit in the gap. could even use 2 or 3 rows side by side

Yeah, that will be a great idea. I think the 2 rows are sufficient to get fit into the gap. But, it depends on a what the difference of gap there. And LED cab be easily fit into this gap.

Pop some of these in Dave, I've used quite a few recently. I normally get them through Wilts....

Gosh, don't know what happened there....I couldn't see the last few posts when I replied!!!!!!!!

just for future try gx53 fittings, handy to fit in small gaps if you want to try match colours to tubes.
