Wago Dinrail Mounted Connectors & Compact Rcbo Job

For the first time I have used the Wago Box din rail mountable connectors, the push fit ones are so much faster to install and use than the older screw terminals.

I would recommend them to anybody who has the need to extend multiple conductors, they make a far neater job than other methods.

Anyway here are my pictures of todays job where I used the Wago connectors & enclosure: move a cu from it's external loctation to inside the property & relocate further away from it's external location.

Looks a really neat solution to a common problem.

Don't suppose you have a bigger version of the view inside the Wago enclosure. Really tiny for a good look.

Should have mentioned that the image is from an American automation company, although the power supply to the intelligent connectors on the left is 230v and the writing is in German  :innocent

Very neat installation, nice work.

I had some reservations about the form factor of the DP isolator, it doesn't seem to align very well with the busbar but you can't always tell from a photo.

Hi Marvo,

I assume you are talking about the DP switch in my Compact Board.

The body length of the switch is about 3mm shorter than the RCBO, so your observation is correct.

However, the pin going into the switch is 8mm wide and 15mm long, so electrical continuity is better than the 5mm wide pin used on most other manufacturer's bus bars.

It is interesting to note that some MCBs and Main Switches from Electrium are so mis-matched, that they have to put an offset in the Main switch busbar pin, in order to achieve proper busbar alignment. This in turn leads to a shorter insertion length of the Main Switch pin, which I believe may be your objection to my set-up.

You will be re-assured to know that future Main Switches supplied by me, will have a body length the same as the RCBO. It is a heavier duty unit and will sell @ £6.00 instead of £5.00.
