Should have done that bit first, and stuck a bit of tape around the other end. Sorted.

5 years ago I had a few days with no work on the books so decided  to install an alarm .   Panel on the wall with the front off  , wiring in,  the phone went with a job and thats as far as it went .

i probably should have, since the loft has now been partially boarded, so its probably going to have to be extended to reach a light in a different room that is accessible...

5 years to do a job? what did they want? and entire house re-wired?!

My second house was like that.  I rewired each room as I renovated and decorated it.  I had two radial socket circuits for nearly 3 years before they finally met to make a ring.

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it's not just me then :slap

Tiled the kitchen 2 years ago new circuit for pelmet lights. pelmet lights still waiting to go on indeed so is the pelmet :innocent  & after a quick check the dishwasher fcu is still waiting for me to put in longer screws (dont worry it's hidden behind the toaster out of view).

I have however tonight started stripping the stair & hallway wall paper ready for plastering next week....... Mrs 107 loves me at this time of year :pmsl1:
