(Zinc Galv Spray)

(Maintenance Lubricant)

(Electrical Switch Cleaner)

(Cutting & Tapping Fluid)

(Max Silicone Lubricant)

(Clear Grease)

(Rapid Penetrating Spray)

Many Thanks in advance

I use the galv spray pick, keep one on the van, pick another up from the local wholesalers when the one I have runs low enough.

Maintenance lubricant, like WD40? Buy it from a local motor factors that I have a long term relationship with, or, one of my industrial suppliers normally when I am placing other orders, B&H, Cromwell, or J&L, IF it is on special offer. Buy it by the Gallon to use in the free trigger spray. Has to be WD40 though.

Buy switch cleaner by the crate from local motor factors, best price I have found.

Use Trefolex, buy by the tin as needed when ordering from Ind. suppliers.

Don't use silicon lube some of my clients who paint won't allow it.

Don't use clear grease.

Rapid penetrating spray, I use PlusGas penetrating fluid, buy by the Gallon as needed, for trigger spray use.

Buy from Ind Suppliers, as needed.

Would buy online & sometimes do, but normally check regular suppliers prices first.

I find that we can negotiate better pricing over the phone than websites for consumables to date.

Used to use all the above from IMG and Tower Chemicals then Wurth for galv spray....................but lately been using the Toolstation range in the green cans and their galv spray too...........it's all spot on (and it's weld thru).Penetrating oil, contact cleaner etc. RS for silicone grease. RTD or Rocol for cutting compound and of course Trefolex!

Always keep a can of galv spray, used to use screwfix own up until they changed it now use toolstations own stuff.

WD40 always

contact cleaner..i bought a can from halfrauds about a year ago..still have it

also carry plusgas dismantling fluid.

Not on the list but ive also recently had call to carry a few cans of "air duster".

Would consider ordering online into stock if the price and availiability was right

Tend to get this stuff from the CPC but I am also a WD40 snob.

Don't buy much, but get it mostly online (often grab WD40 when I see it and need it, often @ Macro)

Not a big fan of WD40 to be honest...........seems to always try and cover too many bases. My work crosses between electrical and mechanical stuff with the two systems often intertwined - say chain driven mechanisms with limit switch sensing so I use a proper chain lube and a seperate contact cleaner etc. In my list I forgot that IMG do a lot of their their stuff under the "Metalyte" banner:

Though, as I say I'm using the Toolstation range now...........started as a "trial" with cost / availabilty in mind and found it's all good so far.

I use the WD40 for wood machines mainly, it is very good at dissolving wood resin! ;)

I have one client who insisted on it rather than any other type of similar substance, & I have just carried on using it.

I also do a lot of Mechanical as well as electrical, electronics & software.

So yes chain lube for chains, I would not use WD40 on a chain unless it was full of wood resin TBH.

I also use a lot of brake & clutch cleaner aerosol form rather than in trigger spray. Again I get this from a local motor factor as I have not found internet pricing to match them, but, I have been going there for over 20 years! I normally get this by the pack 10/20/24 whatever they have the best deal on at the time.

cutting grease: Trefolex or ct90

galv spray: Specialised Wiring Accessories tins

i use wd-40 for general tool maintance thats about all i use.

I used to buy AC90 from a place called Tilgear when I lived in Potters Bar. A real emporium.

Was on a par (in my humble opinion) to WD40
