Was he in the Pathfinder Squadron Zoro ? They used to go down low and fast to verify the correct target , then mark it with flares for the heavy bombers, all under heavy AA fire. Some of these guys were 19 - 20 yrs old :Salute

Its a privilege to be able to talk to such people, sad that now there are less and less of them .
