Hi guys

I'm probably (as usual) several months behind you guys on this. Not seen it discussed though.

Apparently there are some mcb's that can catch fire and wylex are recalling them.

How the f.... does that work. Are we supposed to trace every CU change/extension/upgrade that we've carried out and contact the customer to arrange or is it down to Wylex , Confused (once again as usual)

 
He does live on the Isle of Man - They think the Model T Ford is upto date over there. ROTFWL ROTFWL ROTFWL

Still finding some around

Had a call from one of my clients (Landlord) Tenant had a letter from a Contractor wanting to come and check MCBs for Electrium recall.

"I can do that for you if you like" says I (Still got 10 recall packs left over)

OK thank you very much..

Turned out Tenant had had Warm front put in Storage heaters, Wylex CU.

16 Amp MCBs, none on recall list.

Don't use Eddies, usually CEF or Wallsall and nearly always get them to deliver to site.

Don't get much of a chance to communicate with other sparks, hence some of my seemingly naive questions.

I'll contact manufacturers this week and start the ball rolling.
