Hi chaps, Anybody ever see one of these? Back in the days before transistors, the Yanks would take valves from their tellies and radios down to their local shop for testing. Plug them into the slot and power up the machine. Yes, live testing with no enclosures, barriers or anything. Brilliant.

What about a scanner? Scan your papers and save as a pdf or a picture. That way you have all your notes on the computer.

Don't forget the warnings in the CU packaging - check all connections are secured. I always tighten the factory connections and usually find a couple are loose. Don't know if it would make much difference but I've had a couple of glasses of wine and my neice is phoning me up every two minutes...

I'd be a bit concerned about the boiler ****ing water as well. Something else to remember is that boilers get rather warm. And as they're usually in small cupboards, the small cupboards get rather warm too, which may affect the cable performance.

Sounds like a thermal cutout is... cutting in. Since you can smell electrical burning I'd suggest a dodgy connection to, or, tco on its last legs. Sorry for all the technical terms! :^O

Definitely. Chance's are it's a new or newish shower. And equally likely, even though the fuse is stated at 30A, somebody's probably bumped up the fusewire! So 6mm cable as well. Regards
