    Will try that on next visit... So that would indicate a problem with the actual programmer unit? Was hoping it would be a nice easy fix, thermostat or the like! First time with white goods and I'm determined to get it going!

    Hi guys, A friend has a hotpoint TVM570 tumble dryer which spins but has no heat? So far I have checked the 2 thermostats at the back, and the heater element....All have continuity? Any ideas on what else I could check? Thanks in advance

    Switch dim system would have retractive switches local, not dimmers. Only a guess but if you have 2 browns in L, then there is a 2 core and 3 core T and E at the light...so maybe the 3 core links to an occupancy sensor? Or internal lux level sensor. Call Thorn Tech on 01388420042 They are...

    Were the connections labelled 1, 2 and 3? Maybe switch dim system, but I think Thorn usually mark these D1 and D2...

    It seems they have used them to spur various socket outlets. Im sure it has various circuits across all phases but have told the client it needs further investigation. He wants a quote to move these boxes too! As they are building a kitchen in front! Next pick should make it clearer...

    Thanks for all your responses... It's very interesting hearing everyones views! Some would never bond these units, some always will... Personally I think bonding them is the best route as these pep tables could potentially become live from a fault on the appliances/flexible cords etc...

    Large commercial kitchen, stainless steel units that fix together around entire perimeter. Used for prepping food, potato peeler positioned on top etc. 3 phase fuse board which will have various circuits, mainly protected by RCD, some not. Kitchen designer has stated no need to earth these...
