... after buying my replacement van and its got a fuel pump fault which may end up being terminal.

Cam belt OK, fuel pump solenoid working fine, plenty of diesel,,, just no fuel getting to the injectors :(

I got it to a garage this morning and they can't figure it out,,,, they can't find a wiring diagram, even the local college don't have one (and apparently they have everything - so I'm told)

I went to Ikea once.
That speaks volumes .................I also went to IKEA once .

Didn't appreciate being processed through the store on a human version of sheep being herded between barriers .  After passing through the Sheep dip we exited after buying nothing .   We only went because the Missus said "It must be good , theres always a queue of cars "

Noz  I had a diesel fuel problem which I posted on here  ad nauseum , engine would cut out at any time never knew when it would happen .   Mobile mechanic  and one local garage couldn't solve it .   2nd local garage sorted it .

It was my own fault ...when I replaced the fuel filter I applied too much grease to the rim of the cannister as a seal .......when engine got warm , grease melted, allowed air to enter injector system ,  engine cut dead .    When cold engine would start again no problem.

This is on my old Escort.  So simple to correct once found.

Garage #1    said it was the engine management PCB   !!!   As far as I know my van is too ancient for   Engine Management stuff !!

Just saying .
