Hi every 1 a client called me today they would like a 2nd keypad fitting on the back door as they use both for exiting the premises, I believe u just double up the keypad connections in the panel, do you have to address them or will they both work straight away. Fitted loads of alarms over the years but never done this. Am I correct in what I'm thinking cheers.

I'm doing a alarm at the weekend with 2 keypads the owner has bought it used not sure of the name will this be the same

ah, just realised you weren't the original poster Zak, lol. sorry bud. All depends on the make and model, i'm afraid. Some have tamper circuit, some don't. Most need addressing mind.

Thanks barx the guy I work with has told me how to wire it 1 cable from panel to every item. He was unsure about the 2 keypads though

I'm only wiring Saturday will find out what make etc

Appreciate the help

remember though, if you have 2 entry/exit points then you will have to set 2 delay zones,

some panels wont allow you to do this, others have all programmable zones.

Thanks every one they said they have the instruction books so should be ok ta.
