General rule, if it's not showing a fault, there's nothing wrong. What's your set up, single string, multiple strings and what inverter do you have?
i have x8 375w JA Solar panels and a Solax inverter - system is 3.03kWh - just one string i believe

Morning you helpful lot :)

How can I be certain that all my 8 panels are working and one or two are perhaps not? Is it as you say the volts above that confirms? or is it a case if one dies, then the whole system would either show a fault on my cloud app or the machine next to electric would have a solid red light? thanks for all your help btw.. i really do appreciate it! ive no one else to discuss this with

The inverter works off the DC. My own system is currently generating 53W, but it is a gloomy overcast day where I am. I'm quite lucky in that once my system has fired up, it will run as low as 5W. My system is nearly 10 years old, but I bought the most efficient inverter available at the time.

Ah! Okay.. thats good.. so the solar is powering the inverter.. and im still in wait mode because not enough power to convert to AC.. I think that's right? - im not generating anything at the moment.. and yeah, its wet and really grey out here

Try shutting it all down ie turn off AC and DC isolators and restarting. Sometimes that can give the system a little kick to get going. But either way you aren't missing out on much today 😀

its in the roof.. would need to get ladder out etc.. bit of a mare haha

Thing I've learned with solar is be patient and don't expect too much.
I'm in Yorkshire and MY 4kw system has maxed out at 2.8kwh this December and so far 3 days with nothing. It's grey and drizzly this morning so I'm expecting diddly squat today...
From march onwards you will have loads of leccy and prob finding a way to use/storing more instead of shipping ot back to the grid
