Thing I've learned with solar is be patient and don't expect too much.
I'm in Yorkshire and MY 4kw system has maxed out at 2.8kwh this December and so far 3 days with nothing. It's grey and drizzly this morning so I'm expecting diddly squat today...
From march onwards you will have loads of leccy and prob finding a way to use/storing more instead of shipping ot back to the grid
Thanks Andy - is that 2.8kkwh a day? - at the momemt the box next to meter in electric cupboard is solid red

is this oaky mounted to the beam like this - why didnt they do it to main wall?

yesterday it come out of wait mode before now.. hmm i wonder why its not out of it now (I did call Solax and the guy did something his end changed a setting.. maybe that needs doing again perhaps reverted back?)
I've just had a look at the rain radar, looks like you have heavy cloud and rain until about 3pm, so I would not be surprised if you get nothing today ☹️.

Good thing about rain is it cleans the panels and knocks dust out of the air, so when it does clear the system works better.

I'm learning a lot from you binky thanks - i always thought they just worked as long as it was daylight.. not sunlight.. maybe my misunderstanding that one - it did generate 0.4 yesterday and i think it was similiar day?

just called solax to check my settings were correcxt and he said he is applying a update to two modules on the inverter and call monday to chec applied correctly? aby idea what this actually means?

NormalMode

since i called and he said he was upgrading two of inverter modules the inverter seems to have gone into 'UpdateMode' and now 'Normal Mode' - I hope it just works and I dont have to call Solax every day to ask them why its still in Wait Mode - or maybe its gone to normal mode on its own as 12pm

Nope. I've had a couple of days over 2kwh. Mainly it's been under 1kwh. And a few producing nothing. So far this month (23 days) it's under 19kwh produced. In the summer the same system was producing over 500kwh per month. I was producing that much I was using less than I was sending back to the grid. Patience and don't panic. Ow and a big tip. Stop looking at the app figures every few minutes 🤭

Hah :) - good tip.. for now.. im trying to understand that im confident it is working as it should.. see my messages above.. any idea what these updates are tbat he says hes sent to the inverter?

Just checked my own system again, whoop whoop 180w and 0.4kw total. My system didn't get going until 10.30, which is quite late, and it has suddenly brightened up outside.

You are correct in that you don't need full on sunshine, just daylight to work, but at this time of year the sun is low in the sky, so at a poor angle to the panels and it's just a dark overcast day. Plus the days are short. Wait until February March time and you will see a big jump in performance.

No idea. Didn't you ask what the updates were?
Work system is working fine.
If Binky says it's all good then trust me, it's all good

Doing better than this setup already! - im wondering if they've left the protective transit film on or something - urgh lol

OP - I would stop fiddling and looking and look again after a few days

december is not the time to assess performance

here is the graph for today so far

Linux if you keep fiddling and post figures people will get fed up of your posts and ignore you. 3 people have already said it's not the time of year to asses the panels and to wait. Every part of the UK give different readings at different times of the day
You will find this forum a very helpful place when you need it. Give it a few weeks and of you are having problems post the problems.
Chillax and enjoy Christmas.

i understand.. but if you see yours.. you're already producing 500w average or more.. for me.. its about 25wView attachment 14652
Different roof pitch, different orientation to south, different weather - you are trying to compare oranges with apples. Your string voltages are good, so nowt wrong with the system, unless it's something weird.
