Hi all

a conductor has across-sectional area of 20mm2 a length of 48m and is made of material with a resistivity of 0.02uohmsm, its resistance is

i get 48

can anyone remember me how to work it out thanks

If I remember correct I think it's

R=pxL/A

R=Resistance

p=Resistivity

L=Length

A=CSA

But you have to convert all the numbers into the same unit

(0.02/1,000,000)x(48x1000)/20=0.048 - This is converting all units into mm

0.000,000,02 x 48,000,000 / 20=0.048

Hope this helps :put the kettle on

R= pl divided by a

( resistance = resistivity x length divided by csa

Answer 0.048
