Just wondering where everyone positions these switches.

I have seen them above the door, next to the light switch (outside bathroom) and adjacent to the fan.

I prefer the latter but how does Part M apply to the switch being over 1200mm high. I believe the switch is for maintenance purposes and surely Part M should not apply.

IMO, part M doesn`t apply to the fan iso. I personally don`t like them in the bathroom; NOT because of any reg. ; I personally prefer them outside the room where feasible.

Put it where you want, as long as its in the correct zone, mine are usually outside . Don't use the 3 pole ones much , as often I'm fitting an RCD spur unit for lights /fan , use it as the isolator . As you say , its for maintenance.
