Bad news :        That was the total of Britain's air defense following all the forces cut-backs .

Occasionally came in for a tweak at a "military facility" 100m from daughters back garden SAW ONE HOVERING AT END OF RUNWAY, WE WAVED, HE WAVED BACK AND DIPPED THE NOSE, DID A 360. Nodded, stood it on its arshe and let the clutch out

One of the FEW things that make you proud to be British!...along with the storming of any foreign Embassy!

To see one come in full tilt, stop,in mid air, turn 180 then set off again....makes tye hairs on the back of your neck stand on end.

We must be the dumbest nation that there is, we have had a wealth of genius designers/engineers etc that have graced this earth, yet here we are selling off all our best assets, or even worst case scenario just binning them, begs the question what happens when the countries that have bought our so called obselete equipment against us?

Don't somehow think that the euro fighter is as versatile as the old harrier?
