To be honest, your best bet is to call a local company in and give you a quote for a new alarm.

Its not easy to diagnose problems like you have on a forum, and if, as we now know its wired as a strait ringer, what else is wrong?

Just dont ask your mate to have a look.

Sorry, I do not agree. I understand what you are thinking, but the requirements changed, so the strobe must also stop after 20 minutes.

Ok :Salute    I always have thought its wrong on a 'bells only' system to have the strobe continuous and have often connected it to the sounder after discussing it with the client as it shows a property is vacant.

PS, i thought it was 15 min ?

What you say is true, so you connect the strobe input to the sounder input in the bell box, so you still only need a 4 core.

20 minutes is the maximum.
