Its not impossible to use that cable, but for outside lights I would fire a hole through the wall behind each outside light and run all the cabling internally. It would be less suseptible to the weather and would look a hell of alot better.AndyGuiness Drink
unfortunatly there going further into the garden instead of the house wall.

I brought a reel of that and if its the same stuff its the size of swa. Personally I would use normal flex outside as its less obtrusive and if it needs replacing in a few years time replace it then.

something like this? it'll be covered with abit of gravel in places, it should be ok wont it?

what do you mean replace it in a few years?

Sorry I thought you meant it was being put around wall rather than buried. I personally would use swa if it was being buried.
not really its going to be run along the outside edge of garden but customer said they will probably stick under the gravel ( its all gravelled all ready)

Flip no!

If it`s going under the gravel, I would have to say SWA / split con. Certainly not flex; even hi-tuf isn`t specified for that!

*** Unless, of course, you want to run it in conduit?***

is pvc conduit ok under ground if burried 500 or 600mm

Yes, as long as you ensure you glue the joints well - no water ingress. Use heavy gauge rather than light though.
nice one mate every days a school day
