Car Losing Power

Just driven 800 miles to Brighton and back. Car was OK for first 150 miles or so then lost power on M6. I put it in neutral, turned engine off for a few seconds and restarted and it was OK. did this 3 times on way down. On way back the engine management light came on and hasnt gone off. Turning engine off doesnt change anything and it feels like massive turbo lag.

Funnily enough, the wifes car has lost power and management light has came on,

Her neices boyfriend plugged in his thingymabob, its coilpack one thats shot,!

Got to the bottom of it, plugged diagnostics in at work and it came up with EGR valve as the culprit. Exhaust gas recirculation valve, a gizmo that opens at certain revs and pumps exhaust into the inlet manifold. Kit on ebay to blank it off costs £3.79 just a bit of a faff as the Cmax bonnet is a bit awkward with the windscreen coming halfway over it. Basically EGR is slackened off and a plate shoved in and then tightened up again will fix it.
