Hi All Thanks to all of you for taking the trouble to reply.This has put my mind at rest about how much I charge.
When I visit a property to quote for a job, before I give the quote,I look for the main bond connections, as installing them could in some instances mean a fair bit of work. I also have a walk around the property to get an idea of the overall condition of the installation and to see if there are any obvious non compliances or anything dangerous. I also like to unscrew a ceiling rose cover and one switch. And I always do a Zs measurement on at least one socket.A look inside the existing consumer unit will also give a good indication of the general state of the installation.
