hi need a bit of advise storage heater in bathroom just a very slite heat on top for first couple of hours. read andy's advice and have replaced the element twice, same effect thermal fuse looks ok so bit stumpt now any advice would be a great help please..many thanks

Is this the small single element bathroom Storage heater?

If so the input thermostat is not accessible from outside, take cover of and check if its turned up fully.

is it getting a full 7 hour heat up period?

hi yes it is the small single element bathroom heater its turned fully up and getting 7 hour heat up period, don't know if the elemnts were faulty or not the same thing happened last year changed element and everything was fine will look at thermostat thanks for that if you have any more idea's let me know.. big thanks to you

yes this is a bathroom storage heater does this make a difference?
As Sparkytim has already touched on, a 'bathroom' storage heater will not have controls on the outside as they do not comply with the regs regarding switching devices in an area containing a bath or a shower.

changed thermostat still no joy .changed element for third time working, could the thermostat have been blowing the elements or was i unlucky and got two faulty elements .

Anyway you've been great many thanks for all the help cheers

Have found that elements have a short life span if on constant. Is it possible that this heater has a permanent supply?

no the heater has'nt got a permanent supply ..its funny you say that as have got storage heaters in everyroom and this is the only one that the element has gone in ..The wife says its because i keep switching the heater of at the switch more as we don't need it on when its mild or warm...
