Absolutely essential tools.

If your phone won`t stop ringing; turn up the ipod. Somehow, the phone stops. It`s brill!!!

And, while we`re at it, what about knee pads. Bump cap or hard hat (especially useful if you`re 6`7".)

Hacksaw (large and junior)

plasterboard saw.

Stanley knife.

Meter(s)

Cordless drill with large selection of bits (wod / metal / mason)

SDS drill with selection of bits and chisels.

4.5" angle grinder. Possibly 9" as well.

Jigsaw. Circular saw.

Handsaw.

Tape measure, chalk line, level. Possibly laser level.

Steps.

Hammer (std & lumpa) & chisel/bolster selection

Holesaw selection.

PLUS (dependant on area of work):

super-rods

heat gun.

trowels, buckets, float, sponge.

I`m sure to have missed a few stuff...... (including something blindingly simple)
What about ...

Pocket size spirit level

e.g. 6" to 8" long max..

just for checking sockets & switches are level when you tighten them up??

Well I got one anyway..

and I use it loads!!! :D :)

Let's not forget a 3.5mm re-threader. Very handy (as discussed on another thread!) :D

Vacuum cleaner.

*** bench grinder, for reblading your snapped screwdrivers. I also resharped stanley knives!!! (NOT)
